NIDCD is a founding member of WHO’s World Hearing Forum, a global network of stakeholders promoting ear and hearing care worldwide. Members work, in part, to facilitate implementation of the World Health Assembly resolution on Prevention of Deafness and Hearing Loss. The resolution called on WHO to develop a World Report on Hearing; NIDCD has supported the development of this report – the first of its kind – via a contract mechanism and subject matter expertise via stakeholders’ meetings. |
