The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are collaborating on a pilot study to measure nitrate in urine. The aim of the pilot is to determine if drinking water sources in high and low nitrate regions of Golestan province are associated with higher urinary nitrate concentrations (a biomarker of ingestion) after accounting for dietary intake. |
