NIMH collaborated with the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health to support activities for the National Autism Awareness Month. These activities included hosting a special seminar on autism that was made available to the public via webcast; releasing the annual Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee Summary of Advances in Autism Spectrum Disorder Research; and hosting a meeting of the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) with guest speakers presenting on HHS autism programs. In addition, the NIMH Director, other NIMH staff experts on autism, and the IACC participated in an Autism Awareness Month Conference at the White House. |
