The National Academy of Sciences in collaboration with the Institute of Medicine, is examining international differences among high-income countries in measures of health and disability over the life-cycle with special attention to public health implications for the USA. The USA compares poorly against other countries on many critical indicators of health and well-being. The examination will review available data and offer a state-of-the science assessment of underlying individual and societal causes. |
