This IAA is intended to conduct activities that will harmonize assays measuring soluble transferrin receptor (STfR), an important indicator to assess the global burden of iron deficiency in children and women of childbearing age. The goal of the harmonization process is to generate comparable data across multiple laboratories using currently available methodologies for measuring soluble transferrin receptor (STIR). |
