Healthy People 2010/2020 Partnership |
Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The Partnership provides the opportunity for several units of the Federal government to work on activities related to the Heart Disease and Stroke (HDS) components of the Healthy People initiative. In particular, the purpose of the activity is to catalyze progress toward achieving the Health People goals through the various phases of prevention, including prevention of the development of risk factors for HDS; detection and treatment of risk factors for HDS; early identification and treatment of HDS especially in the acute phases; and prevention of recurrence and complications of HDS. |
