This Healthy People 2020 topic will focus on increasing the awareness of the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, and reducing the proportion of preventable hospitalizations in persons with diagnosed Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The goal is to reduce the morbidity and costs associated with, and maintain or enhance the quality of life for, persons with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. |
