Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The purpose of this agreement is for the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) to provide financial support to the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). The FY2012 funds provide partial support for the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) and contribute to the development, testing, and 2014 implementation of the Hearing questions. The Hearing questions for the 2014 NHIS will be similar in scope to the 2007 NHIS Hearing supplement for the sample adult and, also, will include some questions for report by the parent/caregiver the hearing about their “sampled” child (age range: birth to 17 years old). This project is a collaborative effort between NCHS and NIDCD. |
