Title of Collaborative Activity:

Federal Interagency Committee on Traumatic Brain Injury

Description of Collaborative Activity:

The charge of the Interagency Committee includes promoting collaboration among federal agencies. A goal of this committee is to develop a national “Roadmap” for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This strategic planning effort will represent the collective expertise of providers, educators, advocates, federal/state/national organizations, and individuals with TBI and their families and will result in a consensus document outlining the critical elements of a successful system of care for TBI service delivery. Additional goals include creating and contributing to a centralized online repository of Federal resources pertaining to Traumatic Brain Injury; reviewing agency strategic plans, materials, and funding opportunities to facilitate collaboration, minimize duplication of efforts and fill service gaps; and developing and disseminating media to build awareness and promote greater visibility of Traumatic Brain Injury and associated Federal programs.
