Title of Collaborative Activity:

Cancer Control and Cancer Survivorship in the Sister Studies

Description of Collaborative Activity:

Activities include holding a workshop on research priorities for understanding breast cancer in young women and conducting 2 surveys within the Sister Study: 1) looking at high risk women without breast cancer to understand the impact of breast cancer in a family member on women and their daughters, including screening and lifestyle behaviors; and 2) a survey of young breast cancer survivors to identify issues related to treatment and follow-up, barriers to care, quality of life, discrimination, and other factors post-diagnosis. The study focuses on special needs of young survivors, including fertility.
