The National Asthma Control Initiative (NACI) is a national effort to facilitate implementation of the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) Expert Panel Report 3: Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma. The NAEPP, which was initiated in 1989, seeks to enhance the quality of life for patients with asthma and decrease asthma-related morbidity and mortality by improving asthma awareness, diagnosis, and treatment. |
