The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) created a "National Robotics Initiative" to promote research in a variety of robot-related topics. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) joined as a major civilian aspect of this coordinated interagency plan which incorporates the following funding agencies: NIH, National Science Foundation (NSF), National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). |
