Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The goal of these Fogarty HIV research training programs (AITRP) is to build multi-disciplinary biomedical, behavioral, and social science research capacity for the prevention, care, and treatment of HIV/AIDS and HIV-related conditions in adults and children in low-and middle-income countries. Research training will be provided to scientists at institutions in countries defined by the World Bank criteria as low- and middle-income. In FY14, PEPFAR/CDC-COP funded supplements to parent AITRP awards in Zambia through Vanderbilt; Uganda through the University of California, Berkeley; Tanzania through Baylor College of Medicine; and Ukraine through SUNY Medical Center Downstate. |
