Description of Collaborative Activity: |
FIC, in collaboration with NIEHS and NIOSH/CDC, launched this program in order to support the development of leading institutions in the low- or middle-income countries (LMICs) that serve as regional hubs for collaborative research, data management, training, curriculum development and policy support around high priority local, national, and regional environmental and occupational health threats. The goal of the program is to catalyze a multi-national network of regional Global Environmental and Occupational Health (GEOHealth) Hubs that are the lead resources for environmental and occupational health, attract and retain the best talent in the region, and provide the scientific evidence for policy formulation. Awarded programs are co-funded by all participants (FIC, NIEHS, NIOSH). |
