Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The purpose of this agreement is for the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health to provide financial support to the NICHD to: (1) conduct a review of relevant program evaluation studies that focus on health communication and outreach programs to increase awareness of health risks and/or modify health-related behaviors; and (2) conduct a literature review of relevant program evaluation studies that focus on health communications, outreach, and peer education or train-the-trainer programs. The long-term goal of this agreement is to coordinate federal efforts to reduce infant mortality and address health disparity reduction by evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of HHS-supported outreach and communication programs. |
