Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is collaborating with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to develop a cross-sectional national mental health study designed to (1) estimate the prevalence of a number of specific mental disorders, (2) investigate disorder correlates and patterns of care, and (3) provide a platform for follow-up studies on subgroups of interest. The initial, currently funded, project will execute the steps necessary to build the instrument, obtain Office of Management and Budget clearance, and field test all procedures prior to launching the main study. |
