The NAS forum on "Investing in Young Children Globally" sponsors conferences, supports discussion papers, and engenders discussion among NAS/NAM members, federal partners, and international experts on children's health and well being around the world. For example, a March 2016 meeting of the forum brought together two communities—early childhood development and peacebuilding—to promote knowledge exchange and identification of opportunities to leverage investments in early childhood development to promote peace. USAID, the World Bank, CDC, and ASPE along with NIH support this forum. |
