Sample Collection and Characterization Studies of HIV Variant Strains for Global HIV Virus Panels

Description of Collaborative Activity:

This initiative will characterize emerging HIV strains from blood donors and patients to characterize and analyze multiple, diverse isolates from different parts of the world. This activity is part of NIAID’s ongoing efforts to develop a well-characterized repository of HIV virus panels for diagnostics, and drug and vaccine studies.
