Title of Collaborative Activity:

Leadership Forums in Cancer Control Planning and Project ECHO

Description of Collaborative Activity:

The goal of the Cancer Control Leadership Forums and Project ECHO Program is to increase the capacity of participating countries from target regions to initiate or enhance cancer control planning and cancer research implementation through a multi-sectoral and tele-learning approach. The Forum is the focal point of a three-part process, spanning approximately 18 months. It is an opportunity for each country to develop an action plan to move their cancer control planning efforts forward and to exchange experiences in creating and implementing comprehensive cancer control plans with other countries in the region. The ECHO sessions, which follow the leadership forum, are an opportunity for countries to engage with one another remotely, improve individual skills and knowledge in a case-based learning environment, and share experiences and challenges in basic cancer control and cancer research principles.
