Description of Collaborative Activity:

The HHS Evidence & Evaluation Policy Council was instituted in 2016. The aims of the Council are to develop and coordinate a community within HHS that can advise and consult with their agencies on evaluation and evidence activities. The council works toward improving efficiency and effectiveness in planning, conducting, and disseminating evaluations and evidence throughout HHS, and ensuring the integrity, rigor, and relevance of the information collected, analyzed, and disseminated for evaluation purposes. Activities focus on coordination and collaboration, emphasizing areas of common interest. Example topics include staff development, emerging issues like using administrative data for evaluation purposes, working effectively with leadership and agency partners, and adopting common principles and practices.
