National Kidney Disease Education Program (NKDEP)

Description of Collaborative Activity:

The National Kidney Disease Education Program (NKDEP) (2000-2019) was an initiative of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) focused on chronic kidney disease (CKD). NIDDK carries forward the content, outreach and promotion activities developed under the program to meet ongoing need, including the Health Information Technology Working Group, which focuses on incorporating CKD data into electronic health records in a consistent and searchable manner.
