NIAAA represented HHS at the World Health Organization/Pan American Health Organization Western Hemisphere Meeting to Develop a Global Strategic Plan to Prevent Harms Associated with Alcohol Misuse in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in May 2009. After the meeting, NIAAA officials coordinated with officials at CDC and SAMHSA to review the draft Global Strategic Plan to Prevent Harms Associated with Alcohol Misuse.
