Critical Crossroads Federal Steering Committee

Description of Collaborative Activity:

The Critical Crossroads initiative, initiated by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program, seeks to collaborate across federal agencies to improve the identification of and care coordination for children experiencing mental health crises in rural emergency care settings. The project will identify resources and best practice tools that can be disseminated to states and rural communities. The goals of the project are to improve the coordination of care of children in emergency mental health crisis and post-crisis in rural regions and to provide training and policy resources to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and ED practitioners.
