Description of Collaborative Activity: |
Initiated in 2008, this resource was made available to the scientific community on a broad basis in late 2011. Lyme disease and related serum samples are available upon request for testing and comparison of new and current diagnostic tests with a common serum sample set for standardization. Samples are distributed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). CDC and National Institutes of Health (NIH) both provided support to acquire the samples and continue to work together to ensure the scientific community has access to samples needed for Lyme disease diagnostic test development. |
