Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The goal of the workshop was to develop a consensus model to standardize the diagnostic criteria used in newborn screening tests (e.g., a test to screen newborns for cystic fibrosis). This model will facilitate decision making and the ability of states to use similar categorizations when interpreting the results of newborn screening tests. HRSA was the primary sponsor of this workshop which included other Federal Partners (CDC, and NIH) and representatives from academia. |
