National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) Cancer Control Supplement

Description of Collaborative Activity:

The National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) - started in 1957 - is a continuous, nationwide in-person survey of approximately 27,000 sample adult and 9,000 sample child interviews annually, in the civilian non-institutionalized population. The NHIS oversamples African-American and Hispanic respondents. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) periodically sponsors a Cancer Control Supplement (CCS) which is administered to a randomly selected sample of 39,000 adults.
