Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The Subcommittee on Open Science (SOS) advances Federal efforts to support open science by increasing access to, and use of, the results of federally funded research and development, including, but not limited to, scholarly publications and digital data. Among its responsibilities, the SOS aims to improve implementation of policies to increase access to the results of federally funded scientific research and to identify additional steps that Federal Departments and Agencies can take to enhance the preservation, discoverability, accessibility, quality, and utility of research outputs. Meets monthly to advance government-wide efforts to advance open science by coordinating agency efforts to improve access to publications, data, and other outputs of Federally funded research |
