Phylodynamic Monitoring of HIV Transmission Hotspots to End the HIV Epidemic

Description of Collaborative Activity:

This workshop brought together NIAID grantees, NIH and CDC officials, and people living with HIV to discuss the use and implementation of phylogenetic tools to support the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE) initiative. The workshop featured scientific presentations on HIV phylogenetics, bioinformatics/mathematical modeling, and HIV prevention and transmission, as well as a panel discussion to highlight community perspectives on the responsible use of phylogenetic data to identify HIV transmission hotspots.
