Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The committee advises the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services and the Assistant Secretary for Health on a number of issues related to blood safety including, public health parameters related to the safety and availability of blood and blood products; broad public health, ethical and legal issues related to transfusion and transplantation safety; and the effect of various economic factors on blood safety and availability. |
