Title of Collaborative Activity:

Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC)

Description of Collaborative Activity:

ONC leads a project advancing high-priority health data and metadata standards to support findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) principles that can be implemented/required by federal agencies or other relevant stakeholders. EHR systems contain vast detailed clinical data. Lack of data and metadata standards can make this information difficult to use for clinical care and research. The TEP seeks to identify, develop, and test high-impact data and metadata standards that support FAIR principles.;ONC National Technical Forum was a virtual two day event providing industry perspectives on the progress made in health IT over the past year, and how nationally we can continue to advance health technology to improve patient care, health equity, data exchange, and interoperability.;
