Description of Collaborative Activity: |
The Cardiovascular Health Study is a population-based, longitudinal study of risk factors for development and progression of cardiovascular disease and stroke in elderly adults. Participant data from the NHLBI Cardiovascular Health Study is being linked to Medicare data to allow researchers to investigate the utilization and costs of medical services within the Medicare Program. CMS is providing the Medicare claims data to NHLBI for this purpose at no cost. |
