National Clinical Care Commission (NCCC)

Description of Collaborative Activity:

The National Clinical Care Commission (NCCC) evaluates and provides recommendations on the coordination and leveraging of federal programs related to complex metabolic or autoimmune diseases that result from insulin-related issues and represent a significant disease burden in the United States, including complications due to such diseases. The HHS Assistant Secretary for Health (ASH) provides guidance and oversight for the Commission’s function and activities. The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) will provide management and support services for the Commission’s activities. The NCCC conducted its activities through October 2021 and submitted its final report of all findings and recommendations to the HHS Secretary and Congress.
