Biomarkers of Exposure and Effect in Agriculture (Water Contaminants)

Description of Collaborative Activity:

National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US Geological Survey (USGS) are collaborating on a study characterize exposure to water contaminants by measuring urinary nitrate excretion, and drinking water concentrations of nitrate, pesticides, and other chemicals, as well as hormone activity among a subset of participants in the Biomarkers of Exposure and Effect in Agriculture (BEEA) study.
