Description of Collaborative Activity:

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is using urine samples from the Golestan Cohort Study and the laboratory resources of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and partial Food and Drug Administration (FDA) funding to examine urine biomarkers of tobacco and opium exposure and risk of several cancers, heart disease, and lung disease.
